Is there any piece of baby or child equipment that is more necessary and more researched than car seats? The hospital I delivered at won’t discharge you unless you bring it in to show you have a safe and current car seat to take your baby home in.
This September, Britax Child Safety, Inc., the leader in child passenger safety technology is joining Lexus to host the The #TestDriveParenthood program at dealerships in seven cities across the country during Child Passenger Safety Week (September 17-23, 2017). Little Lake County will be joining them at Woodfield Lexus in Schaumburg on September 19.
The Test Drive Parenthood event will help educate parents and caregivers on infant car seat safety and show support as they enter a new stage of life with a newborn. Britax and Lexus representatives will be on hand to walk attendees through proper car seat installations, discuss key car seat and vehicle features and provide helpful child passenger safety tips. Britax has been manufacturing car seats for 70 years and is the #1 brand in safety technology for car seats. In fact they are the only manufacturer to have their own on site crash testing located at their Fort Mill South Carolina Plant.
Britax is always looking for ways to improve the safety of their seats to give parents peace of mind and save children from injury and death. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Commission every 33 seconds, one child under the age of 13 is involved in a crash. Having the child restrained and protected is the utmost priority to keep them sage. Of children under the age of 8 that are killed in accidents 26% were not restrained by an age appropriate device.
A Child’s position in the car as well as the type of seat they are in are the most important factors for keeping children safe in a crash. All infants should be rear-facing and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend they stay rear-facing until at least 2 years of age, or preferably until the max out on the highest weight and height allowed by the car seat. All children should ride in the back seat until they are at least 13 years old.
Britax recently announced their newest arrival, the Britax Endeavours Infant Car Seat, which includes a steel Anti-Rebound Bar (ARB) for extra rear-facing protection and a European Belt Guide that provides a safe, easy installation without the base. No more worries about whose car the base is in or how you will get to the airport. The baseless model allows you to safely transport your infant in any car, Uber or Taxi.
At the Test Drive Parenthood event you can see the Britax Endeavours Infant Car Seat, discuss key car seat and vehicle features and provide helpful child passenger safety tips. They will also be walking attendees through proper installation of the seats and how to use the European Belt Guide. The belt guide allows parents to easily and safely install their child car seat in any vehicle even when they don’t have their base. A win for on the go parents.
The newest feature on the Britax Endeavours is the Anti Rebound Bar (ARB), seen above where the child’s feet would be. The ARB is made of steel and is located on the infant car seat base. It minimizes the risk of injury by reducing rebound rotation by up to 30 percent in a crash. The ARB also increases the stability of the car seat during frontal, rear-end and side-impact collisions. Of course it also has all the other safety features that Britax is known for including an Impact-Absorbing Base with SafeCell Technology and two layers of side impact protection on the seat shell, decreasing the risk of injury and fatality.
You can catch a peek of the new Britax Endeavours infant car seat TODAY from the comfort of your own home. The smart and savvy staff from SheBuysCars will be live on the their Facebook Page showing it off at 2:00 p.m. ET (1:00 p.m. CT).

The anti-rebound bar sounds like an amazing new safetybfrature
The European belt guide is intriguing! Bases are so hard to install and uninstall from our vans. It would be convenient not to have to use them at all and still have the seat securely installed.
My fave feature is the Anti Rebound Bar.
I’m interested in the base-free feature.
The Impact Absorbing base is interesting. It seems other people drive worse every year and it worries me so much with kids in the car.
I like that it sounds like the safest carseat on the market! With the anti rebound bar and impact-absorbing base.
My favorite feature is the anti-rebound bar followed closely by the European belt guide.
I love that there’s a safe installation without the base. Sometimes we need to switch cars and it would be so nice to not have to move the base!
I love that it has the anti rebound bar. Want to keep my baby safe!
I love how it has a rebound bar . My husband and are expecting our first and safety is the #1 thing we look for in all products .
Congratulations Wendy! You won! You have 24 hrs. to Email us at [email protected] to claim your prize!
I like the European belt path feature
I love that it can be easily installed without a base. It’s so hard to move the base into my car, so this would be perfect for this grandma!
