2016 marked our sixth year as a resource for Lake County parents, and we thank you for helping us to celebrate!
With the help of our friends from Bright Horizons, we threw not one, but five birthday party playdates for FREE for our readers.
Yu Kids Island in Vernon Hills was a kids’ oasis filled with spinning palms, revolving trees and dancing balloons! It’s always a party at Yu Kids Island. Visit their party page for birthday info.
We found indoor family fun at Bella’s Bouncies Indoors in Lake Villa! When the kids are bouncing off the walls, you know it’s time to head to Bella’s. Find out about their party packages. We teamed up with Brainstorm in Lindenhurst and our friends at Animal Quest for some wild times! Find a wonderful assortment of educational games, toys, arts & crafts along with gifts for all ages at Brainstorm and gift wrap is always FREE. Their classroom is the perfect location for your meeting, party or special event.
Leave it to Animal Quest to bring the party animals! Whether you’re looking for a petting zoo or an educational presentation, their menagerie of friendly critters range from the familiar to the exotic. And their animal experts always pay close attention to the health and safety of guests and animals alike.
Pinstripes bowled us over! Even your toddler can enjoy bowling at Pinstripes, and mom and dad will appreciate the gourmet bistro selections and full-service bar. Keep an eye out for Melissa’s upcoming review of the their brand new Kids Club membership coming soon…
Finally, we came to unwind at our final playdate at Blue Sky Yoga in Libertyville. With her background in education as well as being a published children’s author ( Animals Do Yoga and So Do I ,) Owner Angie Miller knows how to charm and engage children making yoga fun and playful. Birthday parties feature both yoga and kickboxing for kids or ask about their Ninja Warrior parties! We can’t wait to see their new and larger space opening soon in Libertyville.
Check out all the fun we had:
Special thanks to Qwackers: Gluten Free Crackers for providing yummy snacks at each and every one of our playdates. Qwackers are processed in a dedicated gluten-free and peanut-free facility, so they’re safe for kids with peanut allergies, gluten sensitivity or celiac disease. Your little ducks will be sure to be quacking for more! Read Jennifer’s review and learn why her family loves them.
