Thanksgiving for Nature Scavenger Hunt

Lakewood Forest Preserve, Wauconda
Enjoy an afternoon discovering the gifts we receive from nature as you walk a designated area searching for flagged clues. Afterward, have a hot beverage and a S’more near a campfire. Activity is self-paced so arrive anytime between 1–3 pm to begin. Registration is required to ensure supplies for everyone. Fee is $2 per person older than age 4.
Teen Chefs: Thanksgiving Sides

Teens in grades 6-12 will learn how to make Thanksgiving side dishes. Must complete the Kitchen Safety Class to register.
Give Thanks: A Native American Good Morning Message

Children in grades 1-4 can enjoy the beautifully animated Mohawk Good Morning Message of Thanks presented in Mohawk and English by Cheif Jake Swamp, then explore the history and customs of Thanksgiving with a lively story, followed by crafts.

Children age 3 through grade 5 can stop-in and enjoy making a turkey craft to take home. Supplies are limited.
