The Great Trade-in at Babies R Us

Great Trade-in at Babies R Us

We are on our last child and in the eight years and four kids we’ve been parents we have accumulated a lot of gear! Car seats, strollers, cribs, I am itching to downsize and clean house! We’ve been selling a lot of it, but our crib is an old drop down so what do we do?

Going on now through February 17th, you can save big on car seats and other baby and kids gear during Babies R Us’ Great Trade in Event. We took advantage of this last year to clear out some expiring and old car seats and move our kids up to the next size.

What is it and how does it work?

You bring in your old used equipment, no matter the age, condition, or place of original purchase. You get a coupon for 25% off the purchase of a new one. You don’t have to buy what you turn in, so you can turn in a play-yard and buy a car seat, but the items do have to be on this list:

  • Cribs
  • Car Seats – any size/style
  • bassinets
  • strollers
  • travel systems
  • play yards
  • high chairs
  • walkers
  • swings
  • bouncers
  • entertainers
  • toddler/twin beds

Babies R Us goal with the trade in event is to make sure parents are using the safest products for their children. The products they are accepting are the ones that due to safety concerns may not be the best candidates to be handed down or resold as there is potential for them to have been recalled, lacking in new compliance standards, or be damaged.

Please see the Babies R Us FAQ page for details and exclusions.
