Top Family Events in Lake County
- Bristol Renaissance Faire – Visit the Faire in 2015 July 11- September 5
We know, technically not in Lake County, but just a hop skip and jump away this was our number one event story of the year. A Toddler Guide to the Bristol Renaissance Faire gave you all the tips and tricks you need to handle this event with small children.
- Grayslake’s Color Aloft Balloon Festival – 2015 date TBA
A little thunder and lightning couldn’t stop the balloons from flying high over Grayslake and providing another great FREE event for Lake County residents. Watch for next years Grayslake Baloon Festival sometime in August.
Key Lime Cove Community Days – coming in April 2015
Thanks to you the 2014 Key Lime Cove Community Days raised a record amount of money for the United Way of Lake County and the Gurnee Police and Fire Departments. Watch for passes to go on sale in April, they are the only time you can purchase day passes to swim at Key Lime Cove.
- Artsy Tots – Wednesday & Friday in Grayslake, Tuesday & Thursday in Libertyville
We kind of don’t want to remind you about how great this toddler art class is because we love it and don’t want to share Ms. Vicki! Held twice a week at both Artist @Heart Locations it’s a perfect first art class for toddlers and preschoolers. At only $5 per class, it’s also affordable!
- Wings over Waukegan – 2015 Show is set for September 12
No need to drive to Oshkosh or Downtown to see amazing aerial stunts or walk among great airplanes. The Waukegan Airshow is a local gem and free for children 12 and under!
