My guys love trucks and cars! They could spend all day talking about them and playing with them and the only thing that trumps that is climbing on them! Even my girls love getting a chance to see big trucks up close. We’ve have the Touch-a-Truck events in Lake County to make your little trucker happy, no matter their size!

Big Trucks
Saturday, July 31, 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Ron Beese Park, Barrington
Dozens of “Big Trucks” will be in the parking lot at Ron Beese Park, open for children to climb in and explore! Fire engines, garbage trucks, village vehicles, tow trucks, and more will be on hand to help your children have fun while learning about each truck, watching demonstrations, and climbing behind the wheel. Compete in big wheel races, ride the trackless train and have fun on the inflatable. Free.
Village of Winthrop Harbor Touch-A-Truck
Saturday, August 21, 12-3:00 p.m.
Village Park, 2700 9th St., Winthrop Harbor
This Free event, will provide an opportunity for families to see many different types of vehicles and equipment, that are used every day by various local companies and organizations. A perfect photo opportunity for the children and families!!
Big Rig Day
Saturday, August 28, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Lindenhurst Park District Community Center, 2200 Grass Lake Rd., Lindenhurst
Kids of all ages are welcome to see, climb, and explore all kinds of vehicles! We’ll have dump trucks, fire engines, Police and Emergency Vehicles, garbage truck, cow car, caboose float cars, tractors, and more. FREE.
