Sunday 12/29 2:00pm Sing in the New Year with Jim Gill at Mundelein’s Fremont Library. For all ages: Join us for an interactive musical delight with banjo-playing, joke-telling, and all-around ever-entertaining Jim Gill. Free event, but registration is required. Monday 12/30 10:00am New Year’s Celebration (grade K) at the Park District of Highland Park. Let’s celebrate 2014! We’ll make party favors and play games fitting the year 2014, then push the clock forward and ring in the New Year early. Best of all we’ll help your kindergartner create memories of a fun-filled New Year’s! Pack your child a sack lunch. We’ll provide drinks and dessert. Monday 12/30 11:00am Ring in the New Year at Lake County Discover Museum in Wauconda. For children ages 3 – 12, entry is free with museum admission, and no registration required. Looking for something to do with the kids during holiday break? Come out to the Lake County Discovery Museum and celebrate the end of 2013 by making crafts and party favors. Monday 12/30 11:00am New Year’s Noon Celebration at Vernon Area Public Library in Lincolnshire. Wear fancy party clothes and sip sparkling cider to celebrate New Year’s Eve a little early. Tuesday 12/31 10:00am Nibbles Annual New Year’s Eve Party – Count Down at Noon in Wheeling. It’s time to celebrate, Nibbles way. Tuesday 12/31 11:00am New Year’s Eve Party at Indian Trails Library
Ages 5-10 ONLY. Ring in the “new year” at our “early” party where we’ll make a craft, play a game, make some resolutions and enjoy snacks while waiting for the “midnight hour” at noon. At 11:45 a.m., parents and younger siblings may join us to celebrate the “New Year” Limit: 75. Tickets are required and will be distributed 30 minutes prior to the event. Click here for more info.
