Did you ever wonder if someone, somewhere in Italy, Japan, or Egypt was doing the same thing as you were at that very moment? On Friday, June 20th at 10:00 am you can participate in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record. Over 13 different countries on 5 different continents plan on participating in this phenomenal event.
Team WLSL is hosting this event for the fifth year in a row. Their goal is to teach the public that swimming saves lives. Currently, drowning is the leading cause of death in children aged 1-4 and formal swimming lessons can reduce the risks of drowning by up to 88%. The record currently sits at 32,450 swimmers participating in a lesson simultaneously. They hope to break their own record this year.
