Worldwide Day of Play 2016

There is nothing like spending a day outside in the sun with the whole family. To encourage this, Nickelodeon developed an event in 2004 called the Worldwide Day of Play. It was designed to get the kids away from the television, video games, and electronic devices and playing outside instead. Many venues in Lake County are hosting events to celebrate Worldwide Day of Play that you and your family can attend. So get up off that couch and go play at one of these events.

You don’t need to have an event to get outside and play right here in Lake County.  You can make your own adventure with your family any day and we have several suggestions how to do it.  Melissa and her family love the brand new children’s play garden at the Chicago Botanic Garden.  Jennifer and her family enjoy going geocaching, and taught us all how to do it.  Otherwise you cannot go wrong choosing one of the Jaw Dropping Playgrounds or our Best Toddler Playgrounds.

Where will you be playing at in celebration  of the Worldwide Day of  Play?
