Located inside the Hawthorn Village Commons, just west of Hawthorn Mall, Yeti Eddi’s offers a unique variety of cool treats including bubble teas, smoothies, snow cream (flavored shaved ice), and taiyaki (fish shaped waffle cones filled with frozen yogurt). These are not your average ice cream shop treats and that’s what makes this place fun. We were excited to try something new to us and Yeti Eddi did not disappoint.

My boys each opted for smoothies. One went for the Strawberry Sunrise with strawberry heart-shaped tapioca balls and the other tried the Mango Sunset with mango star-shaped tapioca balls. The middle schooler said, “It was the best smoothie I’ve had. I loved the tapioca shapes and the flavor was awesome.” While my third grader said, “Mine was great.” They both added popping bubbles into their smoothies and those are their favorite.

I opted for the snow cream and chose chocolate milk flavor and added chocolate chips and a chocolate drizzle. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was a smooth treat that melted in my mouth and was the perfect amount of sweetness.

Yeti Eddi’s offers plenty of places to sit and has a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is welcoming and friendly and will help put together the perfect treat for you. We look forward to heading back in and trying out new flavors and the other variety of desserts. This new stop in Vernon Hills is sure to delight the sweet tooth for everyone in your family.
